DCM is CLOSED | September 3–13 | For Annual Maintenance
DCM plays a critical role in the learning ecosystem for children. Engaging students and their adults leads to impactful learning outcomes and fosters deeper connections to the museum. We are working collaboratively with key partners to create the tools, skills, and mindset to support meaningful learning experiences for all.
Prepare for a playful learning experience with DCM by checking out the resources below.
We are learning too – check back often as this toolbox is growing!
Children (and adults) are constantly learning about the world around them. Social stories are an easy, effective tool that help prepare individuals for a social situation and provide them with expectations for an experience. Share this social story with your students and chaperones before you visit DCM to prepare them for this playful learning experience.
Share this resource with educators and chaperones before your visit to support a meaningful, smooth field trip experience. Handouts include fun ways to facilitate with students, reminders of expectations during your visit, and logistical and safety information.
Our Early Learning Museum PopUps are aligned with state early education standards. Use these Facilitation Guides to prepare yourself and your staff for our visit by familiarizing yourself with the materials and intended learning outcomes of each PopUp.
