Story Times at DCM

Reading aloud is not only an enjoyable experience for children and adults to share together, but it also supports the development of early literacy skills, and fosters a lifelong love of reading. Join us for Story Time at DCM as we embark on literary adventures, from the imaginations of Eric Carle, Mo Willems, Jane Yolen, and many other favorite childhood authors and illustrators.

Story Time with the Author

Join local author Tracie Marie as she reads her newly launched children’s book, “Mac to the Rescue – a short tail.” It’s based on a true story about Mac, a sweet rescue dog. This story is written through the eyes of Mac as he prepares for his adoption day, explaining what makes him unique, some challenges he has endured, and his commitments to his new family. A destined classic filled with hope, excitement, and love that only a pet can bring. Her book also gives back to charities!

Tracie currently resides in Glen Ellyn, IL. She and her sister Nichol launched Candy from the Sky, LLC, a family and women-owned small business boutique offering self-written and self-published children’s books, plush toys, and specialty gifts. They believe in “creating sweet memories that give back” and donate a portion of proceeds for every self-published book purchased back to charitable causes.
