Wrap up a year of wonder, laughter, and fun…
In today’s rapidly changing world, the ability to solve problems creatively is perhaps the most valuable skill we can nurture in children. At DuPage Children’s Museum, this isn’t just something we talk about—it’s what we do every day.
When children visit our Museum or take part in our programs, playing is more than just fun—they’re developing critical thinking skills that will serve them throughout their lives. They test ideas, tinker with solutions, try again (and again!), and discover the joy of figuring things out.
But here’s the challenge: Not every child has access to these vital learning experiences.
Your year-end gift will ensure that we can continue building problem solvers across our community, reaching as many children as possible with these transformative experiences.
Every gift, big or small, makes a difference!
In our Construction House, children use real tools to design and build, learning to overcome obstacles and adjust their approach when things don’t work the first time.
In The Questioneers exhibit, children take inspiration from Ada Twist and her friends as they investigate, design, and experiment—learning that questions can spark incredible discoveries.
Through 452 DCM Wonder Clubs, we’re extending these problem-solving experiences beyond our walls, reaching children who might otherwise miss these opportunities.
Our Tinkering Camps immerse children in week-long problem-solving adventures where they find joy in challenges and develop a failure-positive mindset.
As a second-grade teacher at Jamie McGee Elementary (a Title 1 school), I’ve been bringing DCM into my classroom for Arts & STEM Learning Labs for the past 16 years. What happens when they come is remarkable.
The DCM team knows how to connect with the kids—meeting them where they are, celebrating their ideas, and helping them see themselves as scientists and problem solvers! Each hand-on experience sparks curiosity, confidence, and joy in every student.
Every year, my students always walk away saying, “That was the best day ever!!” and it truly is! After a Learning Lab with DCM, I see my students approaching challenges with a new confidence and creativity.
Your gift today ensures that more children like my students can develop these critical skills through hands-on learning.
