Visitation FAQ & Policies

DuPage Children’s Museum is currently operating at a reduced capacity. Policies and FAQs may be updated as the Museum’s operating capacity changes.

 

BEFORE YOUR VISIT

Can I purchase tickets on-site at the Museum? 

Yes. Pre-Registration is recommended to guarantee Museum admission. Walk-ins are welcome; however, if the Museum reaches capacity, there may be a wait for admission.  Tickets may be purchased in advance online. Please call 630.637.8000 if you require assistance.

 

Timed Tickets 

Timed admissions are being implemented to help maintain safe capacity limits. Tickets are just for entry time. Once you are admitted you can stay and play as long as you like. Please arrive as close to your scheduled ticket time as possible.

 

Cancellation Policy 

Reserved tickets are non-refundable after purchase. They may be rescheduled based on availability if notified at admin@dupagechildrensmuseum.org on or before the ticket date (fees may apply otherwise).

 

Do members have to make reservations before visiting the Museum?

To receive your member benefit of free admission, please make sure you are signed in on the sales screen. Register and Sign In are located in the upper right hand corner of the sales screen on a desktop or upper left hand corner on mobile.

Has my membership been reactivated? 

Yes! Memberships are reactivated and can be used for admission. Pre-registration is required. View Membership FAQ here: dupagechildrens.org/membership-faq.

 

Can I use Passes, Coupons, or BOGOs? 

No. We are unable to accept passes, coupons, or BOGOs while we are operating under limited capacity.

 

Are there any discounts being accepted? 

We are able to accept Groupons, Radio Shopping Show Vouchers, reciprocal benefits, and some discounts at this time. Please scroll to the end of this page for more details.

 

DURING YOUR VISIT

Mask Policy 

Face masks are required to be worn over the nose and mouth by everyone ages 2 years and older at all times while in the Museum for your protection and the protection of those around you. As our primary audience is young children who are not yet eligible for vaccination against COVID-19, DCM will continue to require masks be worn inside the building.

  • No neck gaiters
  • No fleece or lace masks
  • No bandanas or improvised masks

 

Is food allowed in the Museum? 

Snacks that you bring with you can be enjoyed on the lower level only. Snacks are not available for purchase at this time. Masks can only be removed while actively eating or drinking in this designated area.

 

Can I leave the Museum and come back later? 

No. At this time we are not allowing guests to reenter the Museum after leaving.

 

Will private lockers be available for use? 

Yes. Private lockers and coat racks will be available.

 

Will all of the exhibits be open? 

Some exhibits may be closed. DCM reserves the right to close exhibits as needed for the safety of our guests.

 

What safety protocols is the Museum taking to keep everyone safe? 

Your safety is our top priority. To help provide the safest play experience possible, we’ve enhanced our already robust procedures:

  • Museum is operating at a limited capacity
  • Timed admissions are being used to help ensure safe capacity limits
  • Face masks are required to be worn over the nose and mouth by everyone ages 2 years and older
  • Social distancing is required
  • Hand sanitizer stations are placed throughout the Museum
  • Air filters are frequently changed and extra outdoor air is being brought in
  • CDC guidelines for cleaning are being followed

 

Museum guests are asked to perform a COVID-19 self-assessment prior to coming to the Museum. 

If you or anyone in your group are experiencing one or more of the following symptoms, please stay home:

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • If you have had close contact with anyone diagnosed with or who has symptoms of COVID-19 within the last 14 days.

To use a Groupon toward your general admission or a Radio Shopping Show Voucher, please call 630.637.8000 to make your reservations.

Must show your up-to-date membership card from your home Museum with the CLIMB sticker at check-in. Museums For All 

Use code MFA2021 at checkout to receive admission for $3 per person for up to 4 admissions for holders of WIC, LINK, or other federal or State EBT cards. Must show EBT card at check-in.
