Hot Savings. Cool Parties.
There’s always something fun to celebrate at DCM!
Each month, we’re spotlighting a fun, quirky, or inspiring day from around the world—think National STEM Day, International Rubber Ducky Day, Sweetest Day, and more! Join us for themed drop-in activities, story times, and a special Studio add-on that brings each celebration to life.
These mini-celebrations are included with museum admission or membership, so come see what’s in store and add a little extra pizzazz to your day!
Who says snow is only for winter? Beat the summer heat with a frosty day of play at DCM! Explore icy adventures, snowy creations, and cool challenges inspired by everyone’s favorite chilly season. From building and creating to sliding and pretending, Winter in July brings all the fun of winter—without the coats and mittens.
What it’s all about: Pretend play lets children experience familiar seasons in unexpected ways. Exploring winter themes in the middle of summer encourages imagination, flexible thinking, sensory exploration, and creative problem-solving. If you could bring one thing from winter into summer, what would it be?
It’s Friendship Day—a perfect time to celebrate the people who make life brighter! Discover fun ways to create, build, and play together through hands-on experiences that encourage teamwork, kindness, and connection. Whether you’re making something special for a friend or working side by side on a shared challenge, Friendship Day at DCM is all about celebrating the joy of being together.
What it’s all about: Friendships help children build empathy, communication, and cooperation. Working together, sharing ideas, and celebrating one another strengthens social-emotional skills that last a lifetime. How can you make a friend feel seen, included, or appreciated today?
