Winter In July Celebration

Who says snow is only for winter? Beat the summer heat with a frosty day of play at DCM! Explore icy adventures, snowy creations, and cool challenges inspired by everyone’s favorite chilly season. From building and creating to sliding and pretending, Winter in July brings all the fun of winter—without the coats and mittens.

  • Cotton Ball Snow Painting | The Studio
  • Winter Fort Building | Good Show! Gallery
  • Iced Out Light Tables | Creativity Connections
  • Snowy Themed Interactive | Shadow Area
  • Arctic Architecture | The Questioneers Classroom
  • Plus, the Winter in July PopUp Experience with Sock Skating and more!

What it’s all about: Pretend play lets children experience familiar seasons in unexpected ways. Exploring winter themes in the middle of summer encourages imagination, flexible thinking, sensory exploration, and creative problem-solving. If you could bring one thing from winter into summer, what would it be?
