Why wait for the weekend? Thursday Late Nights give families more time to play, explore, and connect at DuPage Children’s Museum. During the school year, DCM stays open until 8:00pm on Thursdays, giving children and their caregivers extra time for hands-on learning, creative exploration, and big-time play.
It’s an easy way to add a little more fun to the school-week routine—come after school, after dinner, or whenever your family needs a chance to play. Whether your child wants to build something, pretend, experiment, climb, or simply see where their curiosity takes them, DCM offers a place to learn through play—and plenty of time to enjoy it.

Looking for an affordable weeknight activity for kids? Discover all the fun, for less! From 5:00–8:00pm on Thursdays in September and October, admission is just $5 per person. DCM members always play free.

What time does DuPage Children’s Museum stay open on Thursday nights?
DCM is open until 8:00pm on select Thursdays during the school year. Thursday Late Night hours are 5:00–8:00pm.
How much does Thursday Late Night admission cost?
Admission is $5 per person from 5:00–8:00pm during September and October 2026. November–May, regular admission rates apply. DCM members always receive free admission.
Can I use a coupon, free pass, or other discount on $5 Thursday Late Nights?
No, the $5 admission deal cannot be combined with other offers, passes, or coupons.
Do I need to arrive at 5:00pm?
No. Families can arrive anytime during Thursday Late Night hours and stay until 8:00pm.
What are fun things to do with kids at Thursday Late Nights?
Families can explore hands-on exhibits, splash in AWEsome Water, fly in AWEsome Air, build in the Construction House, and create together in other interactive spaces. It’s one of the best affordable family-friendly activities in Naperville on a Thursday night!
Are Thursday Late Nights good for toddlers and young children?
DuPage Children’s Museum is designed for children from birth through age 10, but kids of all ages (and their grown-ups!) will find something fun to explore. Toddlers and preschoolers will love the water play, air exhibits, and creative spaces, while older kids can enjoy building, experimenting, and exploring.
Will the café be open during Thursday Late Nights?
No, the café is closed during Thursday Late Nights. Families are welcome to bring their own snacks.
