Grab your troop or pack and get ready for an evening of hands-on STEAM discovery and nonstop fun! Scouts will experiment, invent, and explore through a variety of interactive stations designed to spark curiosity and creativity. Whether you’re making Play-Doh, creating secret messages, or building your own amusement park, the adventure is up to you!

DCM Members: $30/Scout* | Non-members: $40/Scout*
Museum admission is included. *Each Scout may bring one adult, free of charge.
Pre-registration is required. Participate individually or as a group. Groups must have an adult:scout ratio of at least 1:6.

Designed especially for Scouts, DCM STEAM Labs spark curiosity, support open-ended making & tinkering, and promote critical thinking. Each 60-minute lab is facilitated on-site at DCM by an experienced educator. Labs available for Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Lion, Tiger, and Webelos. Time to explore the Museum and supplies are included with every program.

Tinker with your very own vehicle design! Using various materials and different wheel shapes, engage in the engineering design process as you build, test, and iterate to develop a unique car.

Make observations of a unique animal – the owl! Explore the owl’s connection to its habitat by dissecting an owl pellet and analyzing what’s inside.
