Three Options to choose!

Explore Properties of Art

PopArt

Explore various properties of art, including color, texture, and design using a variety of materials. Paint, mold, squish, and swirl as you bring color into our world. PopArt provides an inclusive art experience that combines sensory exploration with fine and gross motor activities, literacy, and social-emotional development.

Intended Outcome

  • Explore various properties of art, including color, texture, and design using a variety of materials.

Student Learning Goals

  • IELG: Children demonstrate the ability to convey ideas and emotions through creative expression.
  • IELDS: Investigate, begin to appreciate, and participate in the arts
Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking

Running Behind

An exciting combination of storytelling and engineering.

Intended Outcome

  • Running Behind is designed to engage children in problem-solving, critical thinking, spatial awareness, and cooperative play. Children will play with speed, trial and error, and the scientific process while, most importantly, having fun!

Student Learning Goals

  • IELG: Children demonstrate the ability to use knowledge, previous experiences, and trial and error to make sense of and impact their world.
  • IELDS: Develop beginning skills in the use of science and engineering practices, such as observing, asking questions, solving problems, and drawing conclusions.

Gross & Fine Motor Skills

It's A Zoo

During our “It’s a Zoo” experience, children will have the opportunity to use their muscles to create structures, large and small, while exploring concepts of spatial  reasoning and motor planning. Take your designs from thought to reality! (No live animal; all animals are pretend.)

Intended Outcome

  • Develop gross motor and fine motor skills, increase situational and spatial awareness.

Student Learning Goals

  • IELG: Children demonstrate an awareness of how objects and people move and fit in space.
  • IELDS: Demonstrate an understanding of location and ordinal position, using appropriate vocabulary.
