Loaders and Mixers and Plows, Oh My! Join us in the Museum’s parking lot to explore some exciting vehicles at DCM’s Transportation Zoo. This is a Semi Touch-A-Truck event; some vehicles will be to view only while others can be touched. Let your imagination drive your play as you take part in transportation-themed activities. Transportation Zoo is an experience the whole family can enjoy! 

Explore a Variety of Vehicles:

  • Residential Garbage Truck, Groot
  • Cement Mixer, Ozinga
  • International Class 8 Series Truck, Navistar
  • Small School Bus, Septran School Bus Co.
  • Snow Plow, City of Naperville
  • Wheel Loader, City of Naperville


  • Big Van Wash
  • Build and Explore Sensory Bins
  • Wheel-y Fun Art

This event is included with Museum Admission or membership reservations through Noon. Pre-registration is required. Tickets are non-refundable. In the event of inclement weather, outdoor activities will be cancelled but Museum admission still applies.

Important Information

  • Masks are required for everyone 2 years and older (indoors and outdoors). See more safety guidelines below.
  • Event is located outdoors in the Museum’s parking lot.
  • Pre-registered, timed-entry admission tickets are required for this event for Museum members and non-members.
  • Guests should arrive during their entry window and check-in with their tickets at the front desk or outdoor event entrance.  Please note event activities end at 1:00 pm.
  • In the event of inclement weather, outdoor activities will be canceled but Museum admission still applies.

Safety Measures & Reminders

  • Guests age 2 and older must wear a mask over their mouth and nose
  • Guests should maintain a social distance of 6 ft. or greater from non-household individuals during their visit
  • Guests should utilize sanitizer wipe stations and/or hand sanitizer as needed throughout the event

Guests are asked to perform a COVID-19 self-assessment prior to visiting. If you or a family member are experiencing one or more of the following symptoms,
please stay home:


      • Fever or chills
      • Cough 
      • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
      • Fatigue
      • Muscle or body aches
      • Headache
      • New loss of taste or smell
      • Sore throat
      • Congestion or runny nose
      • Nausea or vomiting
      • Diarrhea
      • If you have had close contact with anyone diagnosed with or who has symptoms of COVID-19 within the last 14 days.
