Loaders and Mixers and Plows, Oh My! Join us in the Museum’s parking lot to view some exciting vehicles from a safe distance as you explore DCM’s Transportation Zoo. Let your imagination drive your play as you engage in self-guided, transportation-themed activities. Transportation Zoo is a (Don’t) Touch-A-Truck experience the whole family can enjoy! 

This walk-through event lasts approximately 40 minutes.

  • 1955 Chevrolet Convertible – Ed Olsen
  • 1953 Red Chevrolet 1/2 Ton PickUp – David Ventura
  • 1947 Chevrolet – Fiala Family
  • International Class 8 Series Truck – Navistar
  • Kona Ice – refreshing treats available for purchase

Cost:

$7 per person age 1 year and up

Free for children under the age of 1 year

 

Important Information:

  • Attendance will be limited. Pre-registered, timed-entry tickets are required for this event;
    there will be no onsite ticket sales.
  • The Museum building will be CLOSED. There will be no bathrooms available at the event.
  • Masks will be required for everyone 2 years and older. See more guidelines below.
  • Transportation Zoo is a (Don’t) Touch-A-Truck event; vehicles will be located behind fencing.

Safety Measures & Reminders

Description:

  • Pre-registered, timed-entry tickets are required for this event; there will be no onsite ticket sales
  • Guests age 2 and older must wear a face-covering over their mouth and nose
  • Guests should maintain a social distance of 6 ft. or greater from non-household individuals during their visit
  • Timed-entry group sizes are limited to support social distancing
  • Guests should utilize sanitizer wipe stations and/or hand sanitizer as needed throughout the event
  • Use the bathroom before you leave home; there will be no bathrooms available at the event
  • Guests are asked to perform a COVID-19 self-assessment prior to entering the event area. If you or a family member are experiencing one or more of the following symptoms, please stay home: 

 

      • Fever or chills
      • Cough 
      • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
      • Fatigue
      • Muscle or body aches
      • Headache
      • New loss of taste or smell
      • Sore throat
      • Congestion or runny nose
      • Nausea or vomiting
      • Diarrhea
      • If you have had close contact with anyone diagnosed with or who has symptoms of COVID-19 within the last 14 days.

 

  • Kona Ice will be available near the exit of the experience; if you choose to purchase a refreshing treat a portion of the proceeds benefit the Museum
