Community Cares

SATURDAY, January 25, 2025 | 9:00 am – 2:00 pm 

Give the new year a great start and join us for Community Cares at DuPage Children’s Museum. We’re teaming up with local organizations to give children and their families opportunities to give back to their community in a fun, interactive way.

 

Collecting Donations for West Suburban Community Pantry: DCM will be accepting unopened non-perishables and toiletries.

 

Activities*:

  • Make Dog Toys with Naperville Public Library to donate to West Suburban Humane Society
  • Create a puzzle craft with Naper Settlement to donate to local nursing homes
  • Prepare Bird Feeders with Knoch Knolls Nature Center
  • Make Winter Decorations with Fox Valley Park District for the residents of Plum Landing Retirement & Nursing Home
  • Create Sensory Boards with Fox Valley United Way
  • Start Seeds with Morton Arboretum
  • Explore The Studio’s Recycled Art Makerspace and use recycled materials to create something new!
  • Assist DCM Volunteers in preparing materials for upcoming events and programs

Black Moon Trio reimagines the breadth of a horn, violin, and piano trio by showcasing underrepresented voices in their artistic programming and original commissions, inspiring young musicians and non-musicians alike through captivating educational programs, and connecting community members through the arts.
