Create Something Uniquely You!

Explore materials, learn about process, and create some art. Bring your creativity and curiosity to The Studio where every visit is a chance to create something uniquely you. The Studio is a space where your imagination can take you anywhere. The Studio offers open-ended, multi-disciplinary arts and maker activities on a rotating basis.

The opportunity to create art comes with many benefits. Art promotes:

Cardboard Creations

Join us as we use the wonderful malleability of cardboard to create all kinds of fanciful creations! We have a fun collection of recycled cardboard and bits and bobbles.

Big Paint

Splashes of color abound – Let’s Paint! Join us in the Studio as we find all kinds of unique ways to paint. Come dressed for the mess.

Creative Collage

Collage, compose, and create vibrant, unique art! Experiment with our fun collection of recycled materials and a wide variety of papers to compose a collage like no other!

Work with our Artist-In-Residence: Renowned local Artists Donna Castellanos, works with recycled materials to collage/construct works of absolute wonder.  Join her in the Studio:

  • Friday, January 28 & Saturday, January 29 | 10am – 3pm
  • Friday, February 4 & Saturday, February 5 | 10am – 3pm

Art in Motion

Join us in The Studio to make art that moves – paint with cars, make paper airplanes, or create a mobile. You are the artists, the designer and the engineer!

There is no greater joy than giving – except for maybe making something for the people you love most! In our maker space set up for kids and families to make a gift, you can create in the most meaningful of ways.

Wearable Art

Art is everywhere! In fact, you are probably wearing some right now. Come try your hand at being a costume designer as we make hats, crowns, capes, masks, and any variety of wearable art.

Book Making

Come tell your story! Image, create, and share a book designed by you. Making your own book is a fantastic way for children of all ages to communicate their ideas.

Children and their families always find these wonderful ways to get started. Sometimes they create elaborate covers and bindings, but sometimes they simply fold a few pieces of paper in half and get started writing and drawing!
