Splash, Experiment, and Discover the Power of Water

Water can flow, spin, spray, and even create energy. In AWEsome Water, children become scientists and engineers as they experiment with one of the world’s most fascinating natural forces.

And yes… you might get a little wet.

What You’ll Do

Redirect streams, spin a giant waterwheel, build channels, and create pathways that change how water moves. Experiment with flowing water, spray droplets, and bubbling streams.

Then step inside a giant bubble and discover the beauty and wonder of bubbles in motion.

What Children are Learning

As they play, children develop:

  • Scientific inquiry and observation
  • Cause-and-effect thinking
  • Problem solving and experimentation
  • Engineering and design skills
  • Measurement and volume concepts
  • Collaboration and communication
  • Sensory exploration and creativity

Neighborhood Favorites

Stream Table

Experiment with flowing water, volume, and movement while creating and changing waterways.

Magnetic Water Raceway

Build channels and design new routes for water to travel.

Giant Bubbles

Step inside a bubble and explore bubbles that rise, flow, and pop.

Why This Play Matters

Water invites children to experiment. They pour, redirect, splash, and wonder what will happen next. Along the way, they practice problem solving, observe cause and effect, and engage in rich sensory experiences that support both cognitive development and scientific thinking.

Growing with Play

Younger Children

Young children explore through sensory play. They splash, pour, watch water move, and discover that their actions can create change.

Older Children

Older children investigate how water can do work. They experiment with pathways, make predictions, test ideas, and solve engineering challenges.

Play Together
Ask questions like:

  • Where do you think the water will go?
  • How can we make it move differently?
  • What happens if we block this path?
  • Can we create a new route?
  • How big of a bubble can we make?
