Museum Policies

  • General Museum Policies
    • All Adults (ages 16+) must be accompanied by a child
    • No food or drink permitted on the Museum floor
  • Membership Policies
    • Photo identification is required to use membership card.
    • There is an adult to child ratio of 1:6 per visit
    • Your membership’s free admission excludes scheduled group visits like field trips and parties.
    • Memberships are not refundable, transferable, or redeemable for cash due to thier tax-deductible status.
    • Memberships are designed to be used by one family and may not be loaned or given to anyone else.
    • There is a $5 administrative fee for changes or to replace lost cards.
    • Memberships sold as part of a promotion may be subject to different tax-deductibility.
  • Party Policies
    • The use of latex balloons, confetti, silly string, or similar products is prohibited in the Museum.
    • One adult is required for every six children.
    • Alcohol is not permitted.
    • $100 deposit required at the time of booking to hold your date and room.
    • $25 hospitality fee to bring in your own food (excludes cake and preferred vendors).
    • Parties canceled within 10 days of the party date will forfeit the entire deposit.
    • Cancellations received prior to 10 days of the party date will receive a $50 refund.
    • A $50 fee will be assessed to a party that is rescheduled with less than 10 business days notice.
    • Rescheduled parties have 10 business days to rebook for a date within 6 months of the original party date.
  • Explorer Store Return Policy

    We’ll gladly accept returns of new items in original packaging with all parts, manuals, and accessories included within 30 days of purchase.

    • With receipt: refunds will be given in the form of tender provided at time of purchase.
    • Without receipt: refunds will be given in the form of a DCM gift card.
    • We reserve the right to decline returns without a receipt.
