Math Mosaic with Field Trip

Math and art come together for this creative design challenge. Working in groups of 6 – 8, students collaborate to create one art piece from each student’s individual piece.


In this Learning Lab, students will:

  • Communicate effectively and cooperatively work as a team
  • Recognize personal skills and the skills of others
  • Discover the math concepts of scale, tessellation, fractions, measurement, and geometry

Lab Time
  • 2 Hours
Pricing per Learning Lab
  • $13 per student
  • $8 per adult

Requires a 6:1 child/adult ratio. Prices listed do not include transportation of students to/from the Museum.
