Invertebrate Encounter

Physical properties, habitat, adaptations – all are studied in this NEW entomology Learning Lab. Using visual thinking strategies, students will observe, describe, and draw LIVE stick insects, hissing cockroaches, tarantulas, and scorpions while talking about where these bugs live, how they live, and why they look as they do. Emphasis is also placed on these invertebrates’ role in the ecosystem and their impact on society.
